FOR RUIN To Enter Studio In January
November 15, 2008Irish black/death metallers FOR RUIN have completed work on a ten-track pre-production demo for their as-yet-untitled second album. The band says: "The new album is about 40 minutes of faster-than-before music with all the hooks, aggression and harmonies of before and will have a production to match the quality of the songs. There are two instrumental songs in there; one is in the vein of 'December' while the other is probably the most aggressive FOR RUIN song written to date. Songwriting duties are shared among the band this time around and some of the working song titles include 'Deluge', 'In Suffering', 'Elysium' and 'Recoil'. Recording is scheduled to begin on January 3, 2009 in Cork with Alwyn Walker of Komodo Studios as the on-location producer for the album."
FOR RUIN released its debut album, "December", in September 2007 through Sentinel Records.
The band filmed its performance at Winterfest 2006 on December 23, 2006 in its hometown of Cork for the "Live at Winterfest" DVD, which was released last year.
